Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: No More Forest Views for Travelers
•The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is nearing completion, featuring a 12-kilometer elevated road over the Bindal River between Mohand and Dehradun.
•This elevated section, Asia's longest wildlife corridor near Rajaji National Park, allows safe passage for animals but blocks forest views for travelers.
•The new route significantly reduces travel time from Mohand to Dehradun from 45 minutes to just 10 minutes.
•High security walls and sound barriers along the elevated road prevent wildlife disturbance and entry onto the expressway, meaning travelers won't see animals.
•The expressway, whose foundation stone was laid in December 2021, is expected to be fully operational by February 2026, with inauguration anticipated soon.
