IMD Issues Yellow Alert: Kalbaishakhi Rain, Thunderstorms to Hit WB for 3 Days

Yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain issued for three consecutive days starting Sunday (March 15-17) in West Bengal.
•
Coastal districts of South Bengal, including Digha and East Medinipur, to experience increased rain.
•
Alipur Weather Office forecasts rising temperatures, partly cloudy skies, and evening thunderstorms in South Bengal, including Kolkata.
•
North Bengal's 5 hilly districts also expect heavy rain; wind speeds up to 30-40 km/h in Kolkata.
•
Cyclonic circulation and moisture-laden air are causing the weather change, increasing discomfort due to humidity.
