NBSTC Launches Smart Cards for Cashless Travel, Offers Big Bonuses

North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC) introduced smart card services at Siliguri Junction Bus Terminal, aiming for cashless travel.
•
The smart card, officially launching April 1st, will eliminate change hassles; passengers simply swipe to deduct fare.
•
Application forms cost 80 Taka, available at NBSTC depots and soon online; minimum top-up is 300 Taka with a 10% bonus.
•
Bonuses increase with top-up amounts: 15% for 600 Taka, 20% for 1200 Taka, and up to 22% for 2400 Taka.
•
Chairman Parthapratim Roy stated the card can be used on any NBSTC route, including those to Kathmandu, Assam, or Jharkhand.
