Nor'wester Alert: West Bengal Braces for Rain, Storms; Temperatures to Rise
•A cyclonic circulation over Bangladesh and Gangetic South Bengal is bringing significant moisture, leading to a high possibility of rain across Bengal.
•North Bengal will experience persistent rainy conditions this week, with thunderstorms and gusty winds up to 50 kmph expected on Friday in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, and Uttar Dinajpur.
•Rainfall may temporarily decrease on Saturday but is predicted to increase again from Sunday; hilly regions like Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Kurseong may face a more pronounced impact of stormy weather.
•No significant weather change is expected for the next 7 days, but temperatures are forecast to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius once the current rainy spell subsides.
•Current maximum/minimum temperatures in North Bengal: Darjeeling (16.6°C/11°C), Alipurduar (30°C/15°C), Cooch Behar (30.5°C/20.6°C), Jalpaiguri (32.5°C/19.5°C), Malda (30.8°C/23.5°C).
