•Edible oil prices surged by 3 to 5 rupees per kilogram last week, with a potential 10 to 15 rupee hike if the conflict persists.
•India imports about 60% of its total edible oil requirement, making domestic prices highly sensitive to international market disruptions.
•Specific price increases include Palm oil (₹134 to ₹139), Soybean (₹148 to ₹150), and Sunflower (₹172 to ₹175) per kilogram.
