Pune Crematorium Worker Attacked for Giving Free Wood; Businessman Arrested

•Sachin Ranpise, an Aundh Crematorium worker, was fatally attacked for providing free firewood and cow dung cakes.
•He offered the free supplies to his friend Rohit Adulkar's financially struggling uncle's family out of humanity.
•Ajay Makar, the wood supplier for Pashan Crematorium, was greatly displeased by Sachin's act.
•On March 11, Makar and accomplices verbally abused Sachin, attacked him with a cleaver, and threw chili powder in his eyes.
•Baner Police arrested Ajay Makar, Atish Chavan, and Ramu Muppala, who are now in 4-day police custody.
