Pune Metro: Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Line 3 First Phase Opens May 2026
•
The first phase of the Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar Metro (Line 3), covering 12 stations, is targeted to open by May 2026.
•
PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari conducted an on-site inspection of all 23 stations along the 23.2-kilometer corridor.
•
Approximately 94.20 percent of the project work is complete, with technical trials for signaling and inspections by RDSO and CMRS underway/completed.
•
This is India's first metro project implemented on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, with TRIL (Tata Group) and Siemens Project Ventures.
•
The project, an elevated corridor spanning 23.2 km, has a total cost of approximately Rs 8,313 crore.
