FIFA Series 2026 Match Schedule Released: 48 Teams, Global Reach

FIFA published the official match schedule for the FIFA Series 2026, expanding the initiative for national team development.

The series, approved in December 2022, facilitates international friendly matches between national teams from different confederations.
•
The 2026 edition will feature 48 national teams from almost a quarter of FIFA’s 211 Member Associations, competing in 12 groups of four.
•
Eleven FIFA Member Associations will host the series, with Rwanda staging two groups; nine groups for men and three for women.
•
Matches are international friendlies with varied competition formats, including penalty shoot-outs for draws, and will be broadcast globally.
