Samsung to Supply HBM4 Memory for OpenAI Titan AI Chip: Report

Samsung reportedly secured a deal to be the exclusive supplier of HBM4 memory for OpenAI’s upcoming Titan AI processor.
•
The deal highlights strong demand for next-generation memory components crucial for artificial intelligence workloads.
•
Samsung will supply up to 800 million gigabits (Gb) of 12-layer HBM4 memory chips in the second half of the year.
•
This allocation represents about 7% of Samsung's total HBM output and 15% of its HBM4 production capacity.
•
The Titan AI chip, developed with Broadcom and manufactured by TSMC, is expected to launch by year-end.
