PM Modi Lays Foundation for ₹3700 Cr Semiconductor Project in UP, HCL-Foxconn JV

PM Modi laid the foundation stone for Bharat Chip Private Limited's ₹3700 crore OSAT project in Uttar Pradesh.

The project, a 60:40 joint venture between HCL Group and Foxconn, is located near Noida Airport.
•
PM Modi stated that Uttar Pradesh will become a major center for India's semiconductor ecosystem, aiming for self-reliance.
•
The facility will process 20,000 wafers monthly, creating over 3,500 direct and indirect jobs by 2028.
•
This initiative under the India Semiconductor Mission will strengthen the domestic supply chain and reduce imports.
