Naini, a veteran of the Iran-Iraq War, was appointed IRGC spokesperson in July 2024 and often warned of Iran's military readiness.

Ahmadi, an IRGC officer, was responsible for internal security, intelligence, and surveillance within the Basij Force.
•
Israel claims to have attacked over 130 Iranian infrastructure facilities, including ballistic missile sites and UAVs.
•
Earlier, Iran's de facto leader Ali Larijani was also killed in an Israeli attack on March 17, 2026, creating a leadership crisis.
