Kenya FM Mudavadi to Moscow over forced recruitment of citizens in Ukraine War

•Kenya's FM Musalia Mudavadi will visit Moscow to address the forced conscription of Kenyans into the Russian army for the Ukraine War.
•Kenyans were reportedly lured with promises of well-paid civilian work, then press-ganged and sent to the front lines with minimal training.
•Over 1,000 Kenyans are estimated to have perished, according to an AFP report citing intelligence services.
•Mudavadi will meet Russian FM Sergey Lavrov to discuss repatriation of stranded citizens and strengthen bilateral ties.
•Kenya's Deputy FM Abraham Korir Sing'Oei condemned Russia's "unacceptable" use of Kenyans as "cannon fodder."
