NASA's Artemis 2 Mission: Four Astronauts Head to Moon on March 6

NASA plans to launch the Artemis 2 lunar mission on March 6, sending four astronauts on a round-trip to the Moon.

This will be the first crewed flyby mission to the Moon in over 50 years, following the uncrewed Artemis I in 2022.
•
The 10-day mission will use NASA’s SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft, launching from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center.

Three American and one Canadian astronaut will undergo a mandatory two-week health quarantine before launch.

Successful repairs of liquid hydrogen leaks and a fueling test have paved the way for the upcoming flight.
