Pentagon Identifies 7th US Soldier Killed in Iran War; Staff Sgt. Pennington Died in Saudi Attack
•Army Staff Sergeant Benjamin N Pennington, 26, of Glendale, Kentucky, identified as the seventh US service member killed in the war against Iran.
•Pennington died Sunday from wounds sustained in an Iranian attack at Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, on March 1.
•The attack was retaliation for "Operation Epic Fury," a joint Israeli-US campaign that killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
•Six other US service members were previously killed in an Iranian strike on Shuaiba port, Kuwait, identified as Amor, Khork, Marzan, O’Brien, Tietjens, and Coady.
•Three US MQ-9 Reaper drones were also downed recently; one off Iran's coast, another by Qatari friendly fire.
