•Peter Mandelson, former British Ambassador to the US, arrested by London police for misconduct in public office.
•The 72-year-old was taken into custody as part of a criminal investigation into his communications with Jeffrey Epstein.
•Mandelson was removed from his diplomatic posting in September after revelations about his association with Epstein.
•The inquiry began after PM Keir Starmer's government forwarded Mandelson-Epstein communications to law enforcement.
