•The National Weather Service warned of a "Potentially Historic/Destructive Storm" with blizzard conditions and near-zero visibility.
•New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani imposed a travel ban for non-essential vehicles and declared a state of emergency.
•Over 5,000 flights were cancelled, primarily in New York, New Jersey, and Boston, and 400,000 people lost power.
•Schools in New York City and Boston were closed, and the storm was described as a "classic bomb cyclone."
