Fifteen deer died after a pack of stray dogs attacked them at Sanjay Van Vatika in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh.

The incident occurred on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, with one critically injured deer succumbing on Sunday.
•
Four forest department officials, including a deputy ranger and three forest guards, were suspended for alleged negligence.
•
The dogs breached the deer enclosure after entering the park from an adjoining forest.
•
An inquiry team has been constituted, and strict action is promised against those found guilty.
