41.41 Lakh Fake Ration Cards Deleted in 2025, Govt Informs Parliament

•Government data reveals 41.41 lakh ineligible ration cards were deleted in 2025.
•Haryana led with 13.43 lakh deletions, followed by Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
•Technology in Public Distribution System (PDS) enabled states/UTs to weed out ineligible cards.
•Total deletions in 2025 were 41.41 lakh, compared to 48.85 lakh in 2024 and 41.99 lakh in 2023.
•PDS reforms include digitisation of ration card databases, ePoS devices, and Aadhaar seeding for beneficiaries.
