•A five-year-old boy, Devraj, drowned after falling into a water-filled pit near his home in Greater Noida.
•The incident occurred on Wednesday at Preet Vihar in the Chhapraula area.
•Devraj was playing near his house when he fell into the pit and was later found by his family.
•He had been sent home from school earlier that day after feeling unwell.
•Devraj is survived by his parents, Umesh Gupta, an e-rickshaw driver, and a younger sibling.
