Delhi in talks with Haryana for water exchange project to boost supply

•Delhi's average water production is 900-1000 MGD, significantly less than the 1260 MGD requirement.
•A major factor is 20% water loss in transmission from Haryana, particularly from the Munak Canal, a key source.
•Delhi Jal Board is replacing old pipelines to reduce transmission losses and improve overall water supply.
