Delhi to Build 61 KM Road Along Najafgarh Drain: Boosts Connectivity, Cuts Congestion

Delhi government approves Rs 453.95 crore for 61 km road along Najafgarh drain to improve connectivity in outer Delhi.
•
Project aims to reduce congestion, cut travel time, lower fuel consumption, and decrease vehicular emissions.
•
The two-lane, seven-meter-wide paved road will include separate tracks for walking, jogging, and cycling.
•
Corridor will connect major roads like Outer Ring Road, Inner Ring Road, Shivaji Marg, Pankha Road, and UER-II.
•
Construction targeted to start by May 2026 and complete by November 2027.
