Delhi to Build 61 KM Road Along Najafgarh Drain: Boosts Connectivity, Cuts Congestion

•Delhi government approves Rs 453.95 crore for 61 km road along Najafgarh drain to improve connectivity in outer Delhi.
•Project aims to reduce congestion, cut travel time, lower fuel consumption, and decrease vehicular emissions.
•The two-lane, seven-meter-wide paved road will include separate tracks for walking, jogging, and cycling.
•Corridor will connect major roads like Outer Ring Road, Inner Ring Road, Shivaji Marg, Pankha Road, and UER-II.
•Construction targeted to start by May 2026 and complete by November 2027.
