ED moves Delhi HC to expunge 'judicial overreach' remarks in excise case

•Enforcement Directorate (ED) moved Delhi High Court seeking to expunge trial court observations.
•ED claims the trial court's February 27 order, regarding its money laundering probe in the Delhi excise policy case, was "judicial overreach".
•The agency argues the court made "adverse, sweeping and unwarranted" observations without hearing ED or examining its evidence.
•ED states it was not a party to the CBI proceedings where the observations were made, violating natural justice.
•The petition emphasizes that PMLA cases can proceed independently of the predicate offense.
