Delhi Excise Policy: Court Calls Case 'Premeditated', Orders Inquiry on CBI Officer

A Delhi court on Friday termed the Delhi excise policy case “premeditated and choreographed”.

The court ordered departmental proceedings against the CBI officer who led the probe.

Special Judge Jitendra Singh stated there was “no material at all” to justify naming Kuldeep Singh as accused number one.

The court discharged all 23 accused, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, citing failure to establish a prima facie case.
•
The case stemmed from a 2022 CBI investigation into alleged corruption linked to Delhi’s 2021-22 excise policy.
