Himachal Pradesh Signs Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0 MoU with Centre

•Himachal Pradesh and the Government of India signed an MoU for Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) 2.0.
•CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri joined virtually from Shimla.
•JJM 2.0 will run until December 2028 with enhanced outlay and a restructured framework.
•CM Sukhu highlighted the challenges of construction costs in Himachal's hilly terrain and urged for different norms.
•The CM requested the Union Government to release Rs. 1,227 crore pending under JJM for completed schemes.
