India's forex reserves dropped by USD 2.119 billion to USD 723.608 billion in the week ended February 20, as per RBI.

This follows a record high of USD 725.727 billion in the previous reporting week.
•
Foreign currency assets, a key component, decreased by USD 1.039 billion to USD 572.564 billion.
•
Gold reserves saw a decline of USD 977 million, reaching USD 127.489 billion.
•
Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) and India’s reserve position with the IMF also decreased.
