India's Internet Subscribers Soar Past 1 Billion Mark: TRAI Report

•Total internet subscribers in India reached 1028.61 million by December 2025, marking a 1.06% quarterly growth.
•Broadband internet subscriber base grew 1.18% to 1007.35 million, while narrowband decreased by 4.18%.
•Wireless internet users dominate with 983.29 million, compared to 45.32 million wired internet subscribers.
•Overall telephone subscribers surged to 1306.14 million, reflecting a 6.28% quarterly increase and 9.77% year-on-year growth.
•Monthly Average Revenue per User (ARPU) for wireless service increased by 1.87% to Rs 194.57, showing a 7.03% year-on-year rise.
