Man Arrested for Attempting to Use Stimulant During Thane Police Recruitment Drive

•A 23-year-old man, Sahil Shankar Ajveke, was arrested for allegedly trying to inject a stimulant before a field test.
•The incident occurred during the police constable recruitment drive at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Maidan in Mira-Bhayander, Thane.
•A plainclothes drug squad spotted Ajveke, a resident of Baramati, Pune, attempting to use the stimulant.
•He underwent a medical examination, and a case was registered under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
•MBVV police have deployed a dedicated drug testing team, mobile medical units, and CCTV surveillance to ensure transparency.
