Mangaluru Court Jails Man for Life in 2022 Murder Case

•Mangaluru court sentenced Murugan to life imprisonment for the 2022 murder of 47-year-old Harish Salyan.
•II Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Jagadish V N convicted Murugan under IPC Section 302, imposing a Rs 10,000 fine.
•The incident occurred on March 19, 2022, near Mulki Pete in Bappanadu village, Dakshina Kannada district.
•Investigations revealed the accused attacked Salyan with a red laterite stone, killing him on the spot.
•Police stated financial enmity between Murugan and Harish Salyan was the motive for the murder.
