MCD Standing Committee Clears Key Civic Proposals, Demands Fast-Track Rollout

•Chairperson Satya Sharma reviewed issues like sanitation, stray animals, park upkeep, public toilets, and pollution control.
•Projects not requiring tenders, such as 'One Road–One Day' sanitation drive and herbal parks, were prioritized for immediate action.
•The committee proposed a unified policy for RWAs to adopt and maintain parks with financial assistance of Rs 13,500 per acre per month.
•AAP councilors alleged 668 MCD schools are in dilapidated conditions, posing a threat to students and teachers.
