•The incident occurred on March 6, posing a significant threat to the environment and human health.
•Taloja police registered a case on March 8 based on a complaint from a Maharashtra Pollution Control Board official.
•Charges include sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Environment (Protection) Act, and Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act.
