PMC Fines 2.25 Lakh for Illegal River Waste Dumping in Kondhwa Dhawade

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) took strict action against illegal dumping of construction waste along the river in Kondhwa Dhawade.
•
PMC launched a campaign to remove illegal piles of waste and soil accumulating near the river.
•
During the operation, 8 vehicles and one JCB machine were seized for illegally bringing waste to the riverbank.
•
A total fine of Rs 2.25 lakh was imposed, with Rs 25,000 collected from each of the 9 seized vehicles/machines.
•
The action aims to prevent disruption of the river's ecological balance and spread of filth, increasing vigilance on environmental issues.
