Punjab Budget Session Kicks Off March 6: Budget 2026-27 on March 8, 'Meri Rasoi' Scheme Announced

•The Twelfth Budget Session of the Sixteenth Punjab Vidhan Sabha will commence on March 6 at 11:00 am in Chandigarh.
•Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the session will run from March 6 to March 16, with the Budget 2026-27 presented on March 8.
•Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema will present the budget.
•CM Mann also unveiled the 'Meri Rasoi' scheme, aiming to distribute ration kits to 40 lakh families.
•The kits will include wheat, lentils, sugar, iodized salt, turmeric powder, and oil, enhancing the public distribution system.
