Punjab's 'Yudh Nashian Virudh' Anti-Drug Campaign Completes One Year, CM Mann Hails Success

•Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the completion of one year for the 'Yudh Nashian Virudh' anti-drug campaign.
•Mann stated the campaign has fundamentally altered the fight against narcotics by dismantling networks and ensuring strict enforcement.
•He alleged previous regimes patronized drug trade, while his government has broken the backbone of drug trade.
•The campaign adopted a zero-tolerance policy, leading to 36,178 FIRs, 51,648 arrests, and seizure of 2,277 kg heroin.
•Over 4.9 million intoxicant tablets/capsules confiscated, Rs 16.70 crore recovered, and properties of smugglers confiscated/demolished.
