•Rajasthan Police ASI Mahavir Singh died after his service revolver accidentally discharged at his Bhilwara residence on Friday.
•The incident occurred while Singh, posted at Kotwali police station, was unloading his weapon.
•A bullet struck him in the head, leading to his immediate death.
•Singh had recently been promoted from head constable.
•Deputy SP Sajjan Singh stated the initial investigation indicates an accident, with further action pending the post-mortem report.
