Rupee Rebounds from Record Low to 91.85 Against US Dollar Amid Oil Price Fall
•
The Indian rupee gained 36 paise, settling at 91.85 (provisional) against the US dollar on Tuesday, recovering from its all-time low of 92.21.
•
The recovery was primarily driven by a sharp fall in global crude oil prices and hopes of de-escalation in the West Asia conflict.
•
Strong gains in domestic equity markets and a weaker US dollar index also provided significant support to the domestic currency.
•
Brent crude prices dropped 8.31% to USD 90.74 per barrel, while the dollar index fell 0.52% to 98.65.
•
Experts anticipate the rupee to trade with a slight positive bias, with USD-INR spot price expected in the range of 91.60-92.20.
