Special Village Officer Busted: Caught Taking Rs 50,000 Bribe for ROR Certificate

•VACB arrested a special village officer in Thrissur for allegedly accepting a Rs 50,000 bribe.
•The officer, Vinod N P, demanded money to issue an ROR certificate for a 98-cent land parcel.
•Initially, the officer demanded Rs 3 lakh, later reducing it to Rs 2.5 lakh, then accepted Rs 50,000 as part of a trap.
•The complainant approached VACB after the officer cited technical issues and demanded a bribe for the certificate.
•Vinod N P was caught red-handed in the record room and will be produced at the Vigilance Court in Thrissur.
