Thane Engineer Loses Rs 3 Crore in Online Trading Fraud

•A 46-year-old mechanical engineer in Thane was duped of Rs 3.15 crore in an online trading scam.
•The victim was lured with promises of high returns on a fraudulent website.
•He invested Rs 3,15,67,954 between December 12, 2023, and February 11, 2024.
•Initially shown a profit of USD 5 lakh, his account was blocked when he tried to withdraw funds.
•Police registered a case against three individuals under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and IT Act.
