•Thane's Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) awarded Rs 46.55 lakh compensation to a family.
•The compensation is for the family of Pramod Namdev Naik, 35, who died in a 2017 road accident.
•Naik was killed when his jeep collided with a negligently driven “Hyva truck” in Palghar district.
•The tribunal ruled that the truck driver did not possess a valid driving license at the time of the accident.
•Compensation breakdown: wife (Rs 20.55 lakh), minor son (Rs 16 lakh), parents (Rs 5 lakh each), plus 9% annual interest.
