Three Arrested in UP for Rs 37 Lakh GST Fraud Using Fake Firm

Uttar Pradesh Police arrested three individuals for a Rs 37 lakh GST evasion using a fictitious firm, K S Enterprises.
•
The accused set up the fake firm in Lucknow using forged documents, including a fabricated electricity bill and bogus address.
•
They allegedly availed wrongful input tax credit (ITC) and conducted transactions worth Rs 4.70 crore, causing a significant GST revenue loss.
•
Deepak Kumar, Prashant Tiwari, and Kailash Maurya were arrested; Deepak has a criminal history including a murder case.
•
Investigation is ongoing to trace other absconding accused and verify the criminal antecedents of the other arrested individuals.
