UP: Female Rhino 'Rajeshwari' Killed in Tiger Attack at Dudhwa Tiger Reserve

•A female rhinoceros named 'Rajeshwari' was killed by a tiger in Dudhwa Tiger Reserve on Wednesday.
•Forest officials, including Field Director Dr H Rajamohan, confirmed the incident in Lakhimpur Kheri, UP.
•Mahouts patrolling RRA-1 spotted the tiger attacking the rhino at Amha water pool, finding the carcass with visible injury marks.
•A panel confirmed the rhino died from injuries sustained in the tiger attack, and the carcass was disposed of as per SOP.
•Dudhwa Tiger Reserve houses around 40 rhinos in RRA-1 and 6 in RRA-2 under Project Rhino, which began in 1984.
