Women Walk 500 KM to Delhi for Clean Yamuna; UP Minister Releases White Paper

Hundreds of women volunteers completed a 500-km foot march to Delhi, advocating for a clean Yamuna river.

The march, organized by Jal Saheli, started from Pachnada in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, on January 28 and concluded at Vasudev Ghat.
•
Uttar Pradesh Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh released a white paper by "Yamuna Sansad" emphasizing societal contribution to river cleaning.
•
The minister stated the UP government will conserve rainwater along Yamuna floodplains and seek expert help to study pollution causes.
•
Volunteers walked 12-15 km daily, passing through districts like Agra and Mathura, raising awareness.
