Fevicol Maker Pidilite Slapped With Rs 42 Lakh GST Penalty; Company to Appeal

•Pidilite Industries Limited received two Orders-in-Appeal imposing GST penalties for financial years 2019–20 and 2020–21.
•The Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Mumbai, levied a total penalty of Rs 42,31,567 (Rs 26,40,843 for FY19-20 and Rs 15,90,724 for FY20-21).
•The orders were dated March 5, 2026, and disclosed to stock exchanges on March 9, 2026.
•Pidilite is reviewing the orders, evaluating next steps, and considering exercising its right to appeal to the highest authority.
