Karnataka Budget 2026: CM Siddaramaiah Unveils Rs 4.48-Lakh-Crore Plan, Boosts Minorities

•CM Siddaramaiah presented his 17th budget for Karnataka, totaling Rs 4.48-lakh-crore for 2026-27.
•The budget projects a Rs 22,957 crore revenue deficit, marking the third consecutive post-FRBM deficit.
•117 Maulana Azad Model Schools and Urdu Schools to be upgraded to Karnataka Public Schools at Rs 600 crore.
•Laptops worth Rs 50,000 each for 5,000 meritorious minority students from economically weaker backgrounds.
•Rs 100 crore allocated for Jain, Buddhist, and Sikh communities, including Rs 6,000 monthly honorarium for Buddhist Dhammacharis.
