Punjab Budget 2026-27: 1000 Monthly for Women, 10 Lakh Health Cover for Families
•Punjab's 'Mukhyamantri Maawan Dhian Sattikar Yojana' to provide 1,000 rupees monthly to all adult women (1,500 for SC women), with 9,300 crore allocated.
•Every family to receive 10 lakh rupees health insurance under 'Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana', benefiting 65 lakh families; 6,879 crore for health sector.
•Focus on education includes a new university named after Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, increased ITI seats, and 569 crore for technical education.
•Agriculture and farmer welfare allocated 15,377 crore, covering free electricity, subsidies for cotton seeds, Direct Seeded Rice, and crop residue management.
•881 Aam Aadmi Clinics operational, 143 new clinics planned, 308 health centers upgraded, and significant recruitment of doctors and nurses.
