Himachal Budget: 300 Units Free Power for 1 Lakh Poor Families, Rs 1500 for Women

CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced 300 units of free electricity for 1 lakh extremely poor families in Himachal Pradesh.

Women from these families will receive Rs 1500 per month under the Indira Gandhi Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana's third phase.

A survey revealed 27,000 families in the state lack homes, with 10,000 not even on the BPL list.
•
150 more schools in Himachal will transition to CBSE; 150 Panchayat Secretary posts to be filled.
•
Digitalization of Panchayat records and training institutions, with Rs 481 crore allocated for development works.
