India's Unemployment Rate Drops to 4.9% in Feb, Beats Estimates

•India's unemployment rate eased to 4.9% in February, down from 5% in January, surpassing market expectations.
•The decline was primarily driven by reduced joblessness in urban areas and improved employment indicators for women.
•Urban unemployment for those aged 15 and above fell to 6.6% in February from 7% in January.
•Overall female unemployment decreased to 5.1%, with urban female unemployment seeing a sharper fall to 8.7%.
•Female Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) rose to 35.3%, supported by stronger participation in rural regions.
