Businessman Loses Rs 9 Lakh in OLX Thar Scam; Seller Vanishes After Payment

Andhra Pradesh businessman Madire Ravikumar lost Rs 9 lakh in an online second-hand Mahindra Thar fraud on OLX.
•
He was contacted by 'Somadula Mahesh' about a Thar owned by 'Rajesh' in Vijayawada, inspected the vehicle, and transferred payment.
•
After Ravikumar transferred Rs 9 lakh to the provided bank account, Mahesh switched off his phone and became unreachable.
•
Ravikumar filed a complaint with Vijayawada Cyber Crime Police, who are now investigating the case.
•
Authorities warn the public to exercise caution, avoid advance payments, and verify sellers in person for online purchases.
