Mumbai's BKC to get 8.8 km Pod Taxi Network: Cost, Route, and What Locals Must Know

MMRDA's 8.8 km pod taxi network in BKC will link Bandra and Kurla stations, operating on a zero-subsidy model.

The project aims to improve last-mile connectivity for 4-6 lakh daily commuters to BKC, a major commercial hub.

The elevated corridor will feature 21-38 stations, with autonomous pods seating six passengers and running at 40 kmph.

Sai Green Mobility, partnered with Ultra PRT, will operate the system for 30 years; project cost is Rs 1,016.34 crore.
•
Recommended fare is Rs 21 per km, with a 4% annual increase, offering a modern alternative to existing transport.
