•Assam cabinet renames Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College to Barpeta Medical College, citing location-based naming and avoiding confusion.
•CM Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the change, adding another institution will honor former President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed.
•PM Narendra Modi to visit Assam March 13-14, inaugurating a rail coach plant in Kokrajhar, distributing land pattas in Guwahati, and laying the foundation for the Rs 22,000 crore Silchar-Guwahati Express Highway.
