Indore Metro Phase 2 Audit Complete: Operations to Begin Soon
•The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has completed its audit of the second phase of the Indore Metro Rail Project.
•Commercial operations on the 17.5-km priority corridor are expected to begin shortly after receiving a green light from CMRS.
•The CMRS team inspected various parameters including station management, passenger amenities, speed, braking, signaling, and emergency systems from March 15 to 18.
•Commercial operations on a 6-km section of the priority corridor had already commenced on May 31, 2025.
•The original plan for the Indore Metro includes a 31.32 km corridor at an estimated cost of ₹7,500.8 crore, with construction starting in 2019.
